In the Spirit of Thanksgiving
It’s time to start blogging again. It’s been far too long since i’ve ventured into the inherently pretentious artform that is exposing your inner thoughts and pontifications to a worldwide audience for their consumption. I miss it. I’ve never delved into blogging in the way I hope to in the coming days, weeks, and months, but I desperately hope that i will be able to. ...

gritinthegap asked: Are you pissed that you didn't go to this? Well, assuming that you didn't. Maybe you can catch the second annual one. :)

A flipped switch
kateybasye: I have not felt particularly reflective or introspective or observant as of late, and things that my head says are monumental don’t feel that way anymore. “Anymore” sounds so absolute, like I’ll never feel, reflect/introspect on ev.er.y.thing. again, but I’m aware that such things ebb and flow. Going with that flow, I don’t feel like writing epic, insightful blog entries right now....

Loss
“Loss leaves us empty - but learn not to close your heart and mind in grief. Allow life to replenish you. When sorrow comes it seems impossible - but new joys wait to fill the void.” —Pam Brown Amid my own exuberance I eclipsed that which meant so much to me.  I smothered it with a pillow.  Now it’s gone. Balance is one of life’s simple treasures that’s...

Unlikely to run for President
I remembered tonight why I might not run for President of the United States of America. I get angry. Most people who know me, know me as a jolly happy amiable character who is fairly mild tempered and pleasant.  This is true most of the time.  I enjoy being happy and I enjoy making other people happy (they usually go hand in hand). Tonight, I remembered that being caught up in something big...

Breathing
In between classes, I can’t breath. Academics sitting around discussing things I should have read, I can’t breath. Always behind, never ahead. I woke up late, I can’t breath. However, everyone greets me with a huge hello and accepts my substandard ness; I can’t breath. I love college.

Late for what?
My alarm rings (on my iPhone!) every morning Monday thru Friday at 6:01, 6:17, 6:24, and 6:50.  Depending on my mood, the amount of sleep I get, the exact lux count of sun rays entering through my shabby blinds, and the temperature on the outside of blanket determines at which one of these four alarms my body actually decides to leave my bed.  When I do finally emerge from my lethargy and put on...

I am in Washington, D.C. with AIPAC!  I am just coming to understand what this organization (lobbying firm) is all about and I am fascinated by it.  I love the Jewish culture, the Jewish people, and the way in which AIPAC promotes its agenda.  I am excited to start the conference tomorrow morning!
